Hannah was born on 31st day of August, 2006 and was the cutest baby that I have ever seen. She was really fair with red splotches all over her face. She had long fingers with perfectly trimmed fingernails and she weights 2.8 kg which is the biggest baby that I have ever carried.
I have always wanted to name her Hannah. Her name comes from an Ibrani word means ‘filled with glory’, penuh keagungan. Nice eh? But what most people don’t know is that Gen accidentally drops the back ‘H’ somewhere on his was to the Registration Department. No kidding. We amend it later so her full name is as above.
As for Humaira, it means putih kemerah-merahan which is the colour of our National Flag representing the special Merdeka day that she was born. Creative right? Hehe
But the best part is that we all call her ‘Lala’. It was actually the nick given by Adam. When I tell him that we shall call the baby Humaira, he had a hard time pronouncing her name so he conveniently calls her as Lala. He was 14 months-old when I give birth to Hannah. So, instead of teaching him to call her properly, we all end up calling her Lala as well. Sampailah sekarang. She hardly responds to her real name, sometime she will respond to ‘Kakak’ depending on her mood but most likely to respond to Lala and she even refer to herself as Lala. As in ‘Lala nak tidur, Lala nak susu’.
