Stuckwitu

CBK buat hal lagi. This time she costs me RM250. Kipas motor rosak, the air-cond went on and off, the timing meter went up and down and so does the temperature. That was on Saturday.
Yesterday (Tuesday), we went to that place for a test drive. Sesat la weh, kat area Semambu. Gen was waiting for me there and membebel, 'dalam kuantan pun boleh sesat'. Not familiar, ok! I got as far as the Polisas (dead end) and almost take a highway turn to Terengganu. Lol.

Everything went well, the test drive was ok, but the sad news is that CBK will cost me another RM5k to trade-in because her financing is well above the market price. There goes half of the money for the new car's downpayment. So, I'm stuckwitu, Miss CBK.
Gen said we don't have to trade her in. But I'm not sure I can afford to pay both cars. Sigh....

Bila CBKku merajuk

I think she heard me when I talked about buying a new car. I think she acted out and demand more attention from me. I was trying to be discreet and not to talk about it in her presence. But then, Gen’s macho car might told her the news when they spend cold nights together in the garage, rite?

In the first week of the month, it was the road tax and insurance renewal issues. Her tax expires early of the month and I have to renew her insurance as well. However, because of her petite-ness, it only cost me RM450. It is ok-lah, affordable considering how much her friend is costing.

During the second week, she smelt like there’s a leakage in the gas tank. So, I left her at the mechanic to look at it. The dem mechanic cannot find anything wrong other than the air-cond belt had loosened and need tightening up. He conveniently services CBK changes her black oil and charges me RM80 for his services. Dem.

The same mechanic points out that CBK’s tyres had worn-out. So, during the third week, we go and get the two front tyres changed. That costs me another RM210 (plus alignment) and the tyre guy told me that her brake pad had worn out as well. So, we change the brake pad and it costs me an additional RM70. That was on Wednesday.

The ultimate cry-out would be today, Friday because CBK choose to have a flat tyre during lunch hour. This is the first time she pulls a stunt like that. She must be doing it on purpose! However, changing a flat tyre was never my thing. Luckily there are a few good guys around. Anas from the Mustika Ratu downstairs and Cheong from the next door convenient shop. Luckily Ms. Teo’s uncle owns a tyre shop at the other end of the building (near Tanjung) and he only charged me RM5.

However there is a long way before we reach the end of the month and she might pull another stunt next week. So I left her at the carwash downstairs so she get a bit freshen up and stop sulking. The truth is I love her so much. She’s my first CBK though I’m not her first owner.

So now, I’m telling her I’m not buying a new car, not yet. Please dear, no more stunts.

My Blonde Moment

My car broke down after driving about 3 km from home this morning. The car suddenly slows down even after I keep on slamming on the gas pedal. Immediately before the u-turn, I signaled left (other drivers start honking, so I put on the emergency light) and stop at the roadside. Immediately after I slam on the brake pedal, the engine went dead. I tried to re-start the car but to no avail.

I am surprised that I’m really calm the whole time and called Gen. Actually I was wondering whether I should call him or not because I have been giving him cold shoulder treatment since Sunday because he told me that he’s leaving us for four days 9-12 April, 2009 to be exact because he’s a marshal for the Pahang 4x4 Tournament in Sungai Lembing. I promise to update on that later.

After 2 minutes thinking, I decide to call him thinking that I might as well burden him with my car problem. So, I told him the car wouldn’t start and inform him my location. Then I called Adam’s teacher because Adam will be late. Adam was also calm maybe because I act normal. Obviously he had heard my conversation with Gen and Teacher Nurul.

Adam: Kenapa Mama? Kereta rosak? (Pelat)
Mama: Iya lah, rosak pulak. Kita ni dalam kesusahan.
Adam: Mama telefon Wonderpet tak?
(Then we start singing, telefon, telefon berbunyi… Mama dan Adam dalam kesusahan… LOL.)

It took Gen half an hour to arrive at the crime scene and he immediately tried to start the car. Still cannot start. He opened the bonnet (is it called bonnet? Sorry, smaller scale blonde moment) look here and there still cannot start. Then he gets in the car and try to start it again and suddenly he asked, ‘ni ada minyak tak ni?’. Gas? OMY! Totally a blonde moment for me, I forgot to fill in the gas. I remember it had been blinking red since… OMY OMG… last Wednesday! Gen brought his friend along to check on the car and the friend cannot hide his amusement and start laughing out loud.

I was too busy contemplating the cold shoulder treatment to Gen that I forgot to fill in the gas. You see, I have to plan to come home at certain time, make sure I’m in the toilet showering every time he’s back from work, not cooking (just porridge for Nadia and Hannah and nuggets for Adam), let the house in mess (he cleaned up the house on Monday) plus practice a perfect frown when he asks question and the list is so long.
My mind is preoccupied!
