School

Adam keep on telling us that he wanted to go to school. So, both Gen and I went to two nurseries near my office just to check on the environment. Actually we are not sure what we are looking for or what our expectations would be but maybe we can figure something up when we were at the nurseries.

The first nursery located at a cornered lot terrace house and it has a roofed vacant area for the children to play. I can see almost 40 children there aged 3 months to 4 years old and it was pretty much packed considering the small area. I am not convinced that the caretakers there actually love their job. Most of the children were very dirty and we can actually see traces of slemo on their faces. It is just too sad. One boy aged about one and a half year took his bag and follow Gen around. He thought that Gen is his father and he wanted to go home. It was both funny and sad at the same time. I’m convinced that the boy is not happy there. There was another girl who wouldn’t stop crying from the moment we were inside the nursery until we left. She sounded so much like Hannah when she’s having one of her tantrums. That does finalize our visit and I’m not sending Adam and Hannah there.

The caretakers of the second nursery told us that they were packed and they cannot take more children. We have no opportunity of looking around at the nursery but we saw all the teaching gadgets inside the office are more convincing than the first nursery. She took our numbers and suggested another nursery for us to see but Gen decide that we have seen enough.
