For the first time, today I have to send Adam and Hannah to their nanny house before going to work. Usually Gen will send Adam and Hannah and I will send Nadia off in the morning. However, Gen come back at 2 a.m. in the morning from Kuala Lipis and at 7 a.m. he’s already on his way to Kuala Lumpur.
I don’t want to trouble their nanny by sending them so early in the morning, so I volunteered to send them there for Gen. I will definitely be late for work.
All of them were still sleeping went I put them in the car. Sigh… Adam is so heavy. He’s already 15 kilos, not that I’m complaining but after giving birth to Nadia I only weight 40 kilos. I send Nadia to her nanny in Inderapura (Nadia still sleeping) then I head to Kempadang.
Once I park the car and open the door, Hannah went straight into the Nanny’s house, looking for Kakak Ina and Kakak Izzati. Adam is still sleeping so I have to wake him up.
Me: Adam, bangun, dah sampai dah ni kat umah Mak (nanny)
Adam: (hardly open his eyes and looked at me strangely) nape Mama hantar Adam? (then he looked at nanny’s house, bewildered) eh, Adam tak nak gi umah Mak.
Me: Mana boleh camtu, Mama nak gi kerja ni, petang kang Mama amik Adam.
Adam: (suddenly sobbing then I understood that he actually asks for Gen when he asks why I sent him there instead of Gen)
Me: Babah amik Adam petang kang (upon hearing my words, Adam burst into tears, hug me and cried even louder)
I have to carry him, up the stairs of nanny’s kampong house, and pat him to sleep. When he’s sober, I kissed his forehead and went to work. But truthfully… how can I work with traces of his tears still damp on my tudung?
(Hannah is already playing happily with her sisters, waved goodbye and barely noticed my existence).
