Casualty of War

When I came back from work yesterday, Hannah was really in foul mood. Bibik Zah said Hannah also refuse to eat and drink milk since afternoon. She doesn’t even want to hug me when I came back from work. Adam however acts nonchalantly to his sister’s tantrum and hugs me as if nothing had happened.

Bibik Zah told me that Hannah has a big fight with Adam in the morning over Meme and I think this time she decided to protect Meme with all her strength. As a result in the tug of war, Meme was severely hurt. Her head was torn and her insides were scattered everywhere. Hannah is so shocked that she cried so loud and it took Bibik Zah almost two hours to calm her down. She finally naps without any milk or eating lunch. Bibik Zah has to hide Meme because she feared that Hannah might cry again seeing Meme’s gruesome figure.

Hannah was still in bad mood when we break the fast. She was wailing for attention and by this time I can feel that her body temperature has rising. I lullaby her to sleep before I can properly break fast. Where’s Gen? Ahah. As if the peribahasa “buat baik dibalas baik, buat jahat, dibalas jahat”, Adam throw up at the break fast table without any reason. So, Gen has to deal with that.

I stitched Meme’s torn head and stuffed it with kain perca. I put Meme besides Hannah to hug but she still toss and turn and scream once in a while in her sleep. Hannah is down with fever. Gen and Adam sleep in the hall as Adam is also down with fever.

I cannot imagine the war that they have fought in, it might be really horrible.
