Kedai Gunting Rambut Rileks

Adam has been having a “bad hair day” for few days. All this while I have been unauthorizedly cut his hair. Usually we’ll hold him, chase him (hunt him down) and I always have this urge to tie him to the chair to cut his hair. As a result, the hair cut is sometimes ok, most of the times rompong la sket here and there. So, yesterday, Gen and I decided that Adam should get his hair cut, properly cut lah.

Then the four of us went to see Pak Teh Amat, the barber of Kedai Gunting Rambut Rileks. He’s the trusted barber of Along’s battalion of children, so much so we decide to give him a try. I don’t want Pak Teh to tie Adam to the chair while he cut Adam’s hair. Adam’s wailing and yelling is not a pretty sight to see.

Imagining the worst that could happen, I told Adam that we will get his hair cut, so all the way to the barbershop, he kept repeating my words “tong, bot” as in potong rambut while touching his hair over and over again. Yes, he’s almost 2 years old but he cannot speak properly yet.
At the barbershop, he has to wait for his turn, and he got anxious and bored. When his turn came, Gen put him on the chair, Pak Teh put the white cloth around him and I swore that I can see he’s trying hard not to cry! He looked very serious that he didn’t even look at me and Gen while we were giving him words of encouragement. Alhamdulillah everything went well and no unnecessary action (or strings!) needed in the process. LOL.

I forgot to snap his picture after the hair cut, so I took his picture this morning at breakfast table.

Another thing, on our way back yesterday, Hannah fell asleep on Gen’s shoulder while Gen was driving the car. We only noticed that she was sleeping when she snored! LOL.
